| The National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Occupational Health
and Safety Practice is for those who manage or contribute to the management of
health and safety within a workplace. Candidates
must build up a portfolio of evidence consisting of products of work such as
risk assessments, minutes of meetings, memos and emails. This evidence must
demonstrate competence in each Unit of the award.
Although the NVQ has no entry qualifications it is important
that candidates have sufficient health and safety knowledge and understanding
to be a competent practitioner.
